Cruises to departure from Port du Bélon Orange and green circuits on the Aven and Bélon rivers

Nature walks immersive from the Port du Bélon

Discover the Aven and Bélon rias from the authentic Port du Bélon, a vibrant little fishing haven (July-August only).

Come aboard the Paul Gauguin for a guided cruise on the Bélon, past legendary oyster beds, picturesque harbours, châteaux and mudflats teeming with birds.

Let yourself be captivated by the history of the caseyeur fishermen, the first flat oysters and the quarrymen who shaped these Breton waters, in a preserved maritime atmosphere far from the crowds.

The circuit Orange

1h45 with a stopover in Pont-Aven

July-August only, minimum 20 people

This orange circuit offers a complete getaway: leave the port of Bélon (left bank Moëlan-sur-Mer or right bank Riec-sur-Bélon) with its caseyeurs and direct fish sales.

Sail towards the mouth of the Bélon, then out to sea past the headland of Port-Manech (with its emblematic lighthouse and Belle Époque beach huts).

Travel up the Aven past the bustling ports of Kerdruc and Rosbras, between mudflats rich in seabirds (herons, terns) and perched castles overlooking the banks.

Free stopover in Pont-Aven (duration depending on tide) Explore the city of painters, its museum, galleries and crêperies. Return to the Bélon (45 mins) to complete this immersive walk combining sea, river and Breton culture.

The circuit Green

1 hour of intimate exploration of the two estuaries

July-August only

The green tour of the Port du Bélon (1h, July-August) is a walk concentrated in the heart of the rias: departure from the authentic fishing port, navigation through the meanders of the Bélon towards its pioneering oyster beds.

You'll pass traditional fishing grounds (gillnetters, trawlers) and observe the fauna and flora of the salt marshes. This is followed by a quick sea crossing to reach the mouth of the Aven, with views of Port-Manech and its green cliffs, before a peaceful return to Bélon.

Ideal for a sensory and guided discovery of the interconnected estuaries, evoking quarrymen, tide-pullers and oyster-farming traditions.

Living commentary and natural treasures

Our crew enliven each cruise from the Port du Bélon with captivating anecdotes: the origins of flat oysters, the life of the caseyeurs and the exploits of the quarrymen. Watch for grey herons and common terns on the mudflats, rhododendrons and gorse in bloom: an ecological and historical immersion as the summer tides go by.
