Cruises from Pont-Aven to Port-Manech, then walk back to Pont-Aven via the GR34
This hybrid experience begins in Pont-Aven, leaving from the Quai Théodore Botrel for a guided trip down the Ria de l'Aven: your captain will tell you all about the tide chasers, quarrymen and tide mills, as you pass perched castles and lush gardens.
Arriving in Port-Manech after a half-hour panoramic cruise on the Paul Gauguin launch, disembark facing the emblematic beach and its lighthouse.
From here, take a leisurely walk along the banks of the Aven following the white-red GR34 signs back to Pont-Aven (around 2 hours' easy walking).
Pass through gorse forests, wild coves (Rospico, Poulguin) and picturesque villages (Kerascoët), and observe the local wildlife (cormorants, herons). The gradient is moderate (around 100m), the distance 8-10 km, depending on your pace, and the whole route is accessible to occasional walkers.
Reverse option : Start your walk from Port-Manech (Saint-Nicolas chapel car park) to Pont-Aven via the GR34 and yellow PR No. 4, and embark at Pont-Aven for a relaxing sea journey home.
